We are looking for operatives to assist our client with the running of their factory.
You will be dealing with fresh vegetables ready for them to be transported all over the UK.
The job entails: –
– Handling of the vegetables, using knives to prepare vegetables, separating florets of broccoli/cauliflower, slicing sweet potatoes into wedges, removing the cores from peppers etc.
– Quality Checking to make sure there’s no ‘gone off’ veg.
– Washing and preparing delicate vegetables to the required standards and processes.
– Processing prepared root crop vegetables into bags up to 10kg in weight.
Previous experience working in a warehouse is preferred but not essential
The environment is very cold, so you must be okay with working in these types of conditions.
