General Manager - Factory Environment

Job Description

We are on the look out for a general manager to split their time between two industrial sites, one based in Burton on Trent, and the other based in Sileby, Leicestershire.

Our fantastic client who specialises in the field of fire doors are seeking an experienced general manager to take the reins with two sites.

You will split your time equally between Burton and Leicester, to oversee both operations and ensure the smooth running on-site.

Your role will include (but not be limited to):

• Running production and transport at both operations
• Completing factory checks, including machinery, health and safety, data inputting
• Factory audits (ISO)
• Vehicle checks and servicing
• Overseeing and managing all factory output
• Issuing production schedules
• Maintaing deadlines
• Managing and supporting production and transport staff
• Managers HR and personnel responsibilities
• Recruitment and selection
• Sales support.

Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: In return, your salary for this position will be £36,500 to £45,000, this will be discussed at interview and based on experience. There will be opportunity to increase salary, based upon site KPI’s and business development.
Working Hours: In this role you will be working Monday to Friday, 07:00-17:00. As a manager, sometimes this may change, for example the odd Saturday to ensure work is completed and orders are on schedule.

Experience & Qualifications

You will need to have at least 3 years of experience as a general manager in an industrial or factory setting.
